As you continue your creative discovery, you’ll explore even more ways you can make marks with paint, and learn about more tips, tools, and techniques you can use in acrylic painting. Acrylics present so many possibilities — and by the time we’re through, you’l! be able to take them in a number of different directions — whichever you like the most!

You will discover:

• How to use collage in your paintings

• How to find and create collage materials

• How to create texture in your paintings

• How to use acrylic glazes

• How to turn copies of vintage photographs into a mixed media acrylic painting

And you’ll continue to practice:

• Choosing the colors of your palette, to find the ones that really resonate with you

• Mixing the colors of your paints (we'll be working with primary colors)

• Using different tools for mark-making, from brushes to palette knives and scrapers, to relief printing materials, as you experiment and choose what you like most

• Keeping that inner critical voice at bay!
